“Kate offers a Teacher Training Course that covers all aspects of Yoga and effectively prepares you for the responsibility of becoming a Yoga Teacher. She is a wonderful practitioner herself; just being in her presence is a delight. I cannot recommend this course more highly.” – Kay, 2015

“I love that my teachers care. I love that they taught me how to look after different students abilities to be able to modify the practice so everyone feels welcome and comfortable in class. I love that Kate taught me to nurture myself throughout my pregnancy, which I had not been able to do in the past. I love that my teachers keep learning.” – Megan, 2014

Teacher training was a natural progression for Laura who has fond childhood memories of chanting the ancient Gayatri Mantra, meditating, playfully hanging upside down and taking a leg or two behind her head. Grateful for this early introduction, it etched a deeper imprint of resiliency than she could have known at the time. After finding Kate’s classes in 2007, Laura became a regular student of yoga and in 2010 embarked on her yoga teacher training. A fractured spine however would halt her in her tracks but persistence paid off in 2013 when she completed her training. Teaching yoga has been Laura's full time profession since.
Laura is inspired by and has studied intensively with Kate Pell, Noah Maze, Donna Farhi, Simon-Borg Olivier, Sue Scott, and Rajiv and Swati Chanchani. Laura's motivation to share her experience of yoga and the gifts the practice brings are in service to cultivating and strengthening a greater sense of Kula - (Community of Heart).
By offering this teacher training course from Armidale, Laura encourages those living in regional and remote areas of NSW especially so, to consider becoming a teacher and share the practice of yoga within their community.

This training is a Self-development course that will also give you the necessary tools to make Yoga teaching a new career direction for you. It is for those who desire to deepen their own knowledge and practice of yoga as well as for those who seriously wish to make Yoga teaching a personal profession. Don’t feel you must need to want to become a teacher to join the course; an urge to grow and awaken to life’s richness without the desire to teach is enough. It is recommended that you have a minimum of 2 years Yoga practice before applying, or be studying regularly with Laura or Kate already.

Further training

Level I/II Training will be offered during 2019 and beyond. Further Education courses are for those who have completed either a 200 hour provisional teacher training or 350 hour Level I training and would like to do the additional 150 hours to register with Yoga Australia as Level I or Level II teacher respectively. Like any of our courses, it is not necessary to want to be a yoga teacher. Our courses are as much for personal growth as they are professional development. Check the website later in 2018 for more details or feel free to contact Laura for updates.
