COURSES & CLASSES

I have been attending Sama Studio since the beginning of 2017. Sama Studio is a welcoming calm space and Laura’s classes are always informative and fun. I always leave feeling connected to my body and at peace with the world. Earlier this year when faced with the prospect of neck surgery, I attended Private Lessons with Laura and she guided me through practices to strengthen my body starting from my feet up. MONDAY

Align Your Flow Course

Monday 11 am  – 1 hour 30 mins

10 classes – CLASSES START 14 OCTOBER

An alignment-focused vinyasa flow practice that sculpts and tone the muscles of body and mind.  In this class, you’ll explore slightly more challenging variations of postures and receive step-by-step instruction and adjustment as required to help you get there. You will gain greater strength and improve your flexibility, balance, tone and body awareness.

With an emphasis on alignment as a way to heal old injury and prevent new ones, you will restore and transform your body. A powerful, focused, intelligent practice that supports you maintain fitness, de-stress and boost both your energy and mood.

Align & Strengthen Course (Beginners Welcome)

Monday 5:15 pm – 1 hour 30 mins

10 classes – CLASSES START 14 OCTOBER

In this course, you will discover the yoga basics and develop a strong foundation for future practice. Discover the fundamentals of healthy body movement via yoga postures as you learn how to move and activate muscle groups consciously.

You’ll strengthen and tone your whole body, and you’ll gain greater strength, flexibility and stability as the weeks go by. You’ll feel fit, regain confidence, increase your energy and embrace a fun health practice that will connect you to your body and mind.

TUESDAY

Yin Express Course

Tuesday 7:00 pm – 1 hour

10 classes – CLASSES START 15 OCTOBER

A gentle class that will help you to slow down amidst the busyness of life. Yin Yoga is a floor-based practice that facilitates deep facial release, calming the mind and nourishing the body through longer, more passive holds of postures.

This class will help you to deeply relax and completely surrender to the present moment, letting tension and stress melt away. You’ll learn how to quieten your mind and reconnect to your breath. The ideal complement to a busy lifestyle or other more dynamic forms of yoga. 

Suitable for students of all levels and experience. Perfect also for athletes and those wishing to find an increase in joint mobility.

FRIDAY

Immune Boost Flow Course

Friday 6:00 am – 1 hour 15 min

10 classes – CLASSES START 18 OCTOBER

SAMA Studio signature slow-flow class designed to support your immune system as we approach our chilly Armidale winter. In this well-rounded class, you’ll be encouraged to work with a little less effort and instead with a bit more awareness, cultivating a sense of inquiry in your practice.

You’ll discover a totally blissful half hour of grounding yin movements and then begin to work through a flow series that helps you to open your bodies’ energy channels as well as strengthen and tonify your system. You’ll leave class feeling completely relaxed and totally renewed in mind and body.

Rest & Restore Course

Friday 10 am – 1 hour 30 min

Feel stress melt away and release areas of held tension in your body with our Rest & Restore class. Consisting of gentle, supportive floor based practices; you will calm your nervous system and quiet your mind and bring a boost to your immune system.

You will feel deeply rested and recuperated. Perfect for overcoming stress related illness and recuperating from exhaustion this class will teaches how to manage stress and your and interact with yourself in a more loving way.
